New Student Enrollment Process
GATHER INFORMATION
We are honored that you are considering placing your child at Calvary Christian Academy. Prospective students and parents are always welcome to visit and tour our school campus and meet our principal. This visit needs to be scheduled through the school office. Brochures and other literature about our educational and co-curricular programs are available to acquaint you with our ministry.
COMPLETE & SUBMIT APPLICATION FORMS
- The following must be in the student's file for the application to be reviewed by school administration:
- Student Enrollment Application
- Pastoral Recommendation Form
- Teacher Recommendation Form (K–grade 6) (grades 7–12)
- Principal Recommendation Form
- Copy of Most Current Report Card
- Copy of Student's Latest Achievement Test Scores
- Student Questionnaire (grades 7–12)
- Copy of Official Academic Transcript (grades 9–12)
- Attendance Record (if not indicated on report card)
- Health Form (Immunization Record) - Mail or deliver all completed forms and records with the non-refundable application fee to Calvary Christian Academy, 1007 Ecorse Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
- The school administration will review the information and recommend the next step.
SCHEDULE TESTING
- When all enrollment forms, including recommendations, have been received, the school office will schedule a test date and time.
- New students take an entrance test to assure proper placement. Testing evaluates reading and math.
- Grade assignment is not determined until the assessment has been completed.
SCHEDULE INTERVIEW
Following the student testing, the school administration will review the information and recommend the next step. If an interview is granted the school office will contact you to schedule an appointment for an interview. Both parents and the student are required to attend.
ACCEPTANCE AND REGISTRATION
Official acceptance (or non-acceptance) is communicated to parents in writing. Payment of the matriculation is needed to hold the student's place once the acceptance letter is received. Families are added to our mailing list at this time.
- You will be asked to complete the following enrollment forms:
- Emergency Card
- Release of Records (from the previous school)
- Athletic Physical and Consent Form (if your student will be participating in any part of our athletic programs, they must have a physical).
- Private Music Application (if you are interested in private music lessons). - You will then order Campus Wear uniforms through School Closet.
- The financial agreement will be mailed to you from the school business office following acceptance. One copy must be signed and mailed back prior to the first day of school. View the 2010–2011 Tuition / Fee Schedule.
