Student MinistriesChildren"Directing kids down the right road" is the purpose of our CBC Kids ministry. We have classes for all ages each week of the year, with a special puppet ministry called Sonshine Ranch on the first Sunday of each month. On Wednesdays we have Awana for kids age 3 through 6th grade. During the summer we hold our Vacation Bible School on Wednesday evenings. Contact: Kelly Boyette
YouthPastor Matt Mickelson leads the Youth Group here at Calvary. Each Wednesday evening throughout the school year teenagers meet to play games, pray, sing praise and worship songs, and learn more about God in our Proteens program. There's also plenty of activities to provide our teenagers with ways to address individual spiritual needs, reach out to unchurched friends, get involved in real ministry, and learn team-building skills. Junior high youth meet in our JHBC program on Wednesday evenings as well. Contact: Matt Mickelson
Adult MinistriesSinglesOur Singles and college-age group meets each Sunday during the ABF hour at 9:45 a.m. at the house across the street from the church—1005 Davis Street. We are currently discussing the life of Christ in the gospels. Wednesday evenings we set aside an hour to worship the Lord through prayer, and on Thursday nights we have another Bible study time at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday nights we also hang out at the Walker's house after the evening church service. Contacts: Todd & Janine Walker
WomenThe goal of our Women’s ministry is to bring women of all ages into meaningful relationships to help each other grow in Christ. Regular meetings include breakfast and a ladies Bible study. We also enjoy several special events throughout the year, such as a Christmas cookie exchange, winter blah-blaster, and perennial flower exchange. MenThere's plenty of things to do for Men in our church—and it's not all work. We play in a softball league in the summers. Each Wednesday evening in the winter we get together to play basketball in the gym. We also enjoy a Super Bowl party, along with seminars, retreats, and a summer camping trip. Contact: Matt Mickelson
MusicWhen you come to our church, you will notice that music is a central part of our worship services. Our worship style is considered “blended,” using a mix of praise choruses and hymns accompanied by keyboards, strings, and brass. |
